OKAY, here we go.....

Welllll, I have had a very busy BUT very exciting week. Quilting on the Kenai and the Art to Wear fashion show were fabulous. However, for me, Trish Stuart's worskshops were the highlight. I would never have believed I would enjoy, or love, painting on fabric, or free motion embellishment or INSET curves, BUT I did. Trish has a way to help and encourage your vision out of your safe little box and I thank her for the push. Here are a few 'random', no, really random, pieces.
This was a combo paint, thread work. I was working on creating shading for maybe the center of a rose petal.

This piece was using Paint, curves and foils. I will now attempt, in the next 6 months, to embellish with threads.

Well, you are seeing it here first, the new pattern to be released Thursday, 'Dining with a Point'! I will be doing some Demo's on Prairie Points, and so I thought a new pattern was in order. This pattern will have instructions for both a place mat and table runner. Maybe I will post the table runner tomorrow..................we shall see. Getting really excited. I will be taking Trish Stuarts' classes and I am going to STRETCH. Not always comfortable but always worth it.

WOW, I have impressed myself. I am not a free motion quilter by any means but I finished quilting my challenge and it even looks good. Actually, it looks great. This is officially named, Echo of Flowers. Don't forget to stop by Quilting on the Kenai, June 24th, 25th and 26th to see some incredible quilted pieces.

Well, this is my challenge piece. Not quite complete but getting there. I love to design but am much more comfortable with lines and angles. Not so comfortable with creating flowers, at least I think that's what I've created. Anyway, hope to have it finished for the show. I have also been working on Greta, she will be a great accompanying piece to Morley J. Moose III. Her background is finished now I just have to help her work out a few 'color' issues. I have an incredible friend who is binding my last mystery quilt, A Stone's Throw, so that I can put it into the quilt show. THANK YOU Diane!!! I have binding issues, what can I say.
Well, onto another busy, but prayerfully productive day. Happy Quilting!

Been working on some very cute pieces for the Quilting on the Kenai show. This beautiful profile is Morley J. Moose III. Just one of the very cute patterns Pat picked up from market. Lots more in the works, so I will try to keep things posted.

Welcome to my life!

Just thought I would like to add to my already busy life. Just a little blogging to keep things going. I wanted an opportunity to share ideas and inspirations and to access some of yours. My life is pretty simple really. First God, then my husband, then children and spouses, grandchildren, music/worship, then.....................QUILTING!!! I can't get enough fabric to fill the need so I just keep getting more. It helps that I work in a quilt shop. Here is the latest project, this is called Alaska's Wild Heart and is the 2010 State Shop Hop.

This pattern was co-designed by Chelline Larsen of Dragonfly Gallery. Her applique drawings are incredible. If you would like to learn more about this quilt go to robinplacefabrics.com. Check in with me over the next week for a brand new design with an incredible story.
